Acute Healthcare
For someone navigating a cancer diagnosis, the healthcare system can feel overwhelming. Appointments, referrals, specialists, services, and the constant sense that nobody is holding it all together. What if one person could change that?

That's the idea behind the McGrath Foundation's Cancer Navigator role, and the question they asked Ethicol to help them answer: is it working?

To evaluate the Cancer Navigator position, they turned to Ethicol's expertise in program evaluation and health systems.

Ethicol applied a rigorous outcome evaluation framework, to examine how the Cancer Navigator role was contributing to patient outcomes, service integration, and system navigation. The framework is built to understand whether a program is genuinely making things better for the people it serves.

The evaluation gave the McGrath Foundation a clear, evidence-informed picture of the role's effectiveness and its place within their broader strategy for cancer care across the country.
